As part of our growing newsroom, we're hiring two interns to join our Why Is It Moving (WIIM) team and one intern for our Core News team.

Position Summary
As a Stock Market Reporter Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience covering breaking financial news, analyzing stock movements and creating content that reaches millions of investors. You'll sharpen your writing and editorial skills, deepen your market knowledge and contribute to a dynamic team that's redefining how financial news is delivered. This is a paid internship with potential for full-time placement.

What You’ll Do

  • Track and analyze trending tickers, market catalysts and investor sentiment.
  • Write clear, engaging articles on stock movement, news catalysts and market trends.
  • Use AI-powered tools to streamline research and content creation.
  • Promote your stories across social media to drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with editors and team members in a fast-paced digital newsroom.


What We’re Looking For
Required:

  • Strong journalistic writing skills with a clear, concise style.
  • Ability to research quickly and meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred:

  • Published writing experience/familiarity with AP Style.
  • Experience in investing and financial markets.
  • Experience using AI tools for research or content generation.
  • Familiarity with corporate press releases.
  • Social media presence and ability to share content to generate engagement.

Internship Details

  • Location: Remote (Benzinga HQ is in Detroit, MI)
  • Schedule: ~3 hours per day, 5 days/week during U.S. market hours (some flexibility)
  • Term: Minimum 6 months; full academic year preferred
