As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Benzinga, you will be a crucial asset in our mission to provide high-

quality content to our subscribers and drive the growth of our newsletter subscriptions business. You'll

work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, uncover actionable insights, and contribute to

our ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Gather, cleanse, and organize data from diverse sources, including subscriber databases, web analytics, and marketing platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to unveil subscriber behavior, engagement, and conversion metrics.

2. Reporting and Dashboard Development:

  • Create interactive and informative reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Customize reporting to cater to the unique needs of internal stakeholders, including marketing, content, and leadership teams.

3. KPI Tracking and Performance Measurement:

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor subscriber growth, churn rates, open rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Regularly report on KPIs to gauge the success of newsletter subscriptions.

4. User Segmentation and Targeting:

  • Conduct user segmentation and analysis to gain insights into subscriber demographics and preferences.
  • Provide actionable insights to marketing and content teams to enhance targeting and content personalization.

5. A/B Testing and Optimization:

  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to design A/B tests for email campaigns and subscription offers.
  • Analyze test results and recommend optimizations to improve campaign performance.

6. Predictive Analytics:

  • Utilize predictive modeling and statistical techniques to forecast subscriber trends, retention rates, and subscriber lifetime value (LTV).
  • Generate forecasts to support business planning and marketing strategies.

7. Data Quality Assurance:

  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Identify and rectify data anomalies or inconsistencies.

8. Ad-Hoc Analysis:

  • Respond to ad-hoc data analysis requests from various departments, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Empower the organization with data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, ideally within the newsletter subscriptions or media industry.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with SQL and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and predictive analytics.
